I’ve been continuing to put up episodes of the rebooted version of my 1995 graphic novel Welcome To The Zone on Patreon at a rate of two pages a week. This week’s installment introduces three new characters, Invert, Shroom, and Mugg. The three of them run a mobile soup kitchen which feeds the homeless, whether they want to be fed or not:

Just a reminder to all you loyal readers that my latest instructional book from Watson-Guptill, PERSPECTIVE IN ACTION, is being published this coming June 20th (coincidentally, my wife Eve’s birthday).

I haven’t been keeping up blog posts about it, but I have been posting regularly to my Patreon page each week. The story has progressed further on ARE YOU BEING WATCHED? Mugg’s latest Reality TV adventure takes place on the program Peewee Princesses, on which Mugg wins a million billion dollars in a toddler beauty pageant:

I have been so busy over recent weeks that I have not kept up with blog posts, though I have been posting material to my Patreon page on a fairly regular basis: drawings of Tom Terrific from when I was five, end strip comics drawn at the beach, and the like. I have also managed to keep up a page a week on ARE YOU BEING WATCHED?, my Reality TV webcomic. Right now we’re in the middle of a return to Expulsion Island, Mugg’s second chance to appear on the Survivor-like program from which he was ceremoniously voted off earlier in the story. One of his fellow contestants is a slumming celebrity you might recognize:

This past Thursday was the fifth Thursday of the month, and rather than doing my usual second online hangout, I decided to post some work in progress, panels from my upcoming book PERSPECTIVE IN ACTION, which will be published next year by Watson-Guptill, on my Patreon page.

I posted the latest page of my serialized webcomic ARE YOU BEING WATCHED? on Patreon yesterday. In this installment, Mugg is managing a comic shop on the Reality TV program Cellar Dwellers, and has decided to make some changes in the store, inspired by a visit from a fetching female comics fan (Mandy in her nerd girl guise). Mugg’s partner is dubious:

It is the Second Thursday of the month, when I post comics from my archives on Patreon. This month’s story comes from 1989, and was originally drawn in my sketchbook. MAX THE TURTLE IN HOT WATER is, as the subtitle promises, “a true story”. Max was a diamondback terrapin that Eve and I kept as a pet when we first moved in together in New York, and this story tells how he met his end.

This week on my Patreon page: after a sixteen-page SNOW ANGEL break, we return to my serialized webcomic ARE YOU BEING WATCHED? with two new pages. To recap, Mugg has sold his soul to the devil in order to get on Reality TV to impress Mandy, the girl of his dreams. In the latest episode, Mugg and Mandy become a newlywed couple hunting houses on the program Nest Quest, hosted by Licensed Real Estate Agent Elsie Dervish.

It’s the Second Thursday of the month, time for me to load a new comic from the archives to my Patreon page. This month, it’s the third and final installment of ALL DAY AND ALL OF THE NIGHT, a 24 Hour Comic in which Mugg finds himself a contestant on a Reality TV show hosted by famous cartoonist David Chelsea, in which he has 24 hours to draw a comic. Mugg ends up one of the top two contestants, competing for the top prize with a six-year-old boy in a wheelchair, who draws with a pen in his mouth (the blue ribbon panel of judges includes my own early character Piggola, The Virgin Valkyrie, a video game character who appeared in another strip of mine, THE GIRL WITH THE KEYHOLE EYES, and Kitchenbot, a robot formed of pots and pans and and cutlery, vaguely similar to Paul Guinan’s Boilerplate.):

The votes are in, and by an overwhelming margin my subscribers have chosen to make Fan Art the new First Monday feature on my Patreon page (the other choice, Looping Gifs, got zero votes).
