Held Over!

I know I haven’t put up a blog post in a very, very long time, but this news is IMPORTANT! I have three pieces in a show in August at Portland’s beloved Curb Gallery, and the good folks at Curb liked them so much they’re carrying them over into next month’s show!

This acrylic depicting a popular magazine mascot is in my best approximation of Norman Rockwell’s style:

This piece has already sold, but you can see it framed in all its loveliness until the end of the month. After I scanned this image, I added a cigarette to the right hand to reverse censorship by Vanity Fair of the original photograph by Anny Leibovitz:

This watercolor ran as an illustration in the for the Modern Love column in the New York Times in 2004:

Since attendance was poor at the First Thursday opening in August, due to heavy smoke from local wildfires, we’re doing it all again in September. So mark your calendars, the reopening is on Thursday, September 3. Stop by and have a chat!

The show will be at Portland’s Curb Gallery in the Pearl District. 424 NW 12th Ave, Portland, OR 97210, through the end of September.  Opening is September 3rd, 2026, from 4 to 8 pm.
