I made something of a format shift on my Patreon page a while back, without actually announcing it- when I began serializing my webcomic ARE YOU BEING WATCHED?, I switched from posting new comics in a big eight-page pile on the first Thursday of the month to posting two pages every week. All well and good, but that left me without anything particular to post for First Thursday. This month, I am experimenting with two ideas to fill the gap- looping gifs and fan art.
Wonder Woman Day V is tomorrow, but my contribution is already up for auction on Ebay, and racking up the big numbers- high bid as I write this is $62.11. Meanwhile, I am one of the artists quoted in an article on the “Good News” website Tonic.com about the event by John R. Platt .
Wonder Woman Day is coming! And this year I have managed to come up with a suitably themed piece of art for their annual charity auction. I chose to depict the classic comic book character as the Venus of Willendorf, a Stone Age figurine found in Austria in 1908, which has become a familiar icon of femininity.
